Time For Some Friendly Fun - UWH

Want to try a new sport - then read on

Do you know any Swimmers…… who would you like to play a game, try something competitive, learn something new, get more pool time, or just want to get active?  Fun is guaranteed, perhaps aerobic fitness will follow, but it’s not a prerequisite.

Xarifa UWH have gained a Sportivate grant, from Sport England via Greater Sport, to run a beginners course in Underwater Hockey (UWH), starting this May at Wright Robinson Sports College in Abbey Hey, East Manchester.  All equipment and instruction are provided.  First FREE session includes an informal talk and an opportunity to get in the water and have a go.

UWH is a snorkelling game played with a puck on the bottom of a swimming pool, so you need to be able to swim a few lengths to have a go.  Experience of snorkelling is not necessary as all instruction is provided.  It is played worldwide by all ages and it’s open to all, so don’t hesitate to ask – if you want to have a go, we will be able make it happen.
